LOVE ART? JOIN US FOR THE 15TH ANNUAL RIVERDALE ART WALK
This is your opportunity to experience the work of a wide variety of established and emerging artists – all in one area, all exhibiting over two great days. It is a dynamic and fun event that gives thousands of visitors the opportunity to discover the “next great Canadian artist” or simply that one artist that connects with you.
The majority of exhibiting artists can be found in Jimmie Simpson Park, located at Queen Street East and Booth Avenue. Other artists will be exhibiting in retail spaces and galleries along Queen, including the Hangman Art Gallery at 756 Queen Street East.

48th Annual Art in the Park

In 1965 the Society created Art in the Park to promote local artists and artisans, and today this show has blossomed into Oakville’s premiere art event.
We are thrilled to be again offering one of the best fine arts festivals in the country and are excited this year about many new additions, including the always popular Beer Garden, catered this year by Heat Catering, and entertainment by the group Tropical Daze.
Featuring more than 175 artists and artisans from across the country, the event attracts thousands of people to the Bronte waterfront. Visitors to the 2013 show will see the return of some of the same artists as in previous years, as well as some who have never participated before. Artists come from far and wide - this year there are artists from Quebec, British Columbia and as far away as the Bahamas.
Every medium is represented, from traditional oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings to glass, ceramics, textiles, photography, mixed media, sculptures and fine jewellery.
Admission $5.00
Children under 12 are free. |
